Course Name: Contrastive Analysis

 Course aims: This course is an attempt to contribute to the contrastive study of the grammar. It introduces students to the basic methods, concepts and terminology they require in order to be able to compare the syntactic structure, the sound system and the vocabulary of English and Persian.

 Course Structure: The number of units allocated to each topic may vary based on the demands of the class and the complexity level of the material. The students are expected to study each unit’s lesson and participate in class discussions. Active attendance, doing exercises and challenge your answers at class will be necessary!

 Grading

a) Regular class activities and attendance (8)

b) Final term exam (12)

(NOTE: each section has its own score, so try to start your studies from the first days of classes)
